WINGS 'n WATER > 2007 Art Exhibits & Sales

Federal Duck StampWildlife & Duck Stamp Art
Meet Sherrie Russell Meline, 2006-2007 winning Federal Duck Stamp artist, along with other Duck Stamp and wildlife artists, including the Junior Duck Stamp winner. Original art work, prints and Duck Stamps all for sale. Funds from the sale of current Federal Duck Stamps are dedicated to purchasing and preserving wetlands. A Duck Stamp collection is a “wildlife art gallery in miniature.” The Festival is your opportunity to enhance your collection of art or stamps or to begin one for yourself or your children.

Wildlife & Maritime Art
Some of the nation’s finest wildlife and maritime artists display their art in various mediums. This is your opportunity to meet the individual artist whose work you may have admired in galleries. You may choose a priceless original painting or a valuable signed and numbered limited edition print from over 20 professional artists.  

Plein Air Artist

Plein Air
Watch while plein air (outdoors) artists spontaneously capture the feelings of movement, color and light in their small field paintings of local Southern New Jersey scenes.

Original Watercolor Painting
Featuring original, affordable watercolor art in a variety of approaches and techniques. Subject matter ranges from cozy harbors and flower filled gardens to lighthouses and bridges. You can personally meet the artist and discuss the style and the setting.

Wildlife & Coastal Scenic Photography
Renowned East Coast photographers demonstrate the skill and patience necessary to capture wild things in wild places.

Sculpture
A nationally recognized sculptor presents an intriguing array of wildlife sculptured in bronze.

Decorative Wildfowl Carving, Fish Carving & Decoys
Highly realistic carvings, along with stylized folk art decoys by some of the nation’s top carvers.

The Festival hosts the $5,000 purchase prize for the North American Shorebird Championship carving competition. Carvers compete in Decorative Life-size, Decorative Miniature and Decorative Floating Competitions in both amateur and open categories. All carving exhibitors are juried.

Fine Crafts
Artisans display their fine wares for sale. Items vary from birdhouses and baskets to jewelry, clothing, pottery and fine porcelains.

Quilts
A display of privately owned new and old quilts and wall hangings are represented. Hand made quilts, pillows, dolls, and other fabric art are for sale.
