Volunteers at Chowder ChallengeGive your time… If you believe in the appreciation and understanding of the vital role wetlands and coastal ecosystems play in the survival of life on this planet, there may be a place for you at The Wetlands Institute. Many stimulating opportunities await Wetlands Institute volunteers!

Volunteer opportunities:

Wings 'n Water Festival
A wildlife carving and art show always held the third weekend of September.

Docents
Nature guides trained by the Institute to lead salt marsh, beach and bird walks.

Aquarists
Help maintain aquarium tanks and feed the animals.

Special Events
Cooking - assist with cooking for special events or coordinating covered dish dinners.
Crafts - assist with crafts during special events.

Clerical
Stuffing, sorting and folding to help with regular and bulk mailings and phone answering.

Quilters
Quilters create the yearly raffle quilt and other projects

Sales People
Tidepool Museum Shop - help in the gift shop
Admissions - take admissions for special events

Maintenance
Assist with maintenance projects around the Wetlands Institute.
