This is a unique "behind the scenes" tour into the elegant history of Bermuda and an in-depth look at the wildlife and gardens of the Island. You will stay at the historic Coco Reef along Bermuda’s South Shore Beach, famous for its long stretch of beautiful pink sands. You will visit BAMZ, the Bermuda Aquarium Museum & Zoo and take a private tour to view 200 species of fish and more than 300 birds, reptiles and mammals on display. Visit Spittal Pond, the largest bird sanctuary on the Island, normally off limits to tourists, and take a glass bottom boat tour of Bermuda reefs. Then you are off to Verdmont Historic House Museum and period planted gardens, virtually unchanged for the past 300 years. Then an informative visit to the 400 year old St. Georges Town, and on to Walsingham Pond to see 32 species of sponges and the mangrove Swamp, and a boat trip to Nonesuch Island, a "living museum." After visiting the Bermuda Botanical Gardens and you will have a chance to participate in a green sea turtle feeding at the aquarium. For more information and to sign up call Bert DeVries at (609) 398-0924 or email wildworldtravel@aol.com. In cooperation with the Philadelphia Zoo and the Toledo Zoo.
