Marsh Music something fiddler crabs make? No, it's the Wetlands Institute's
new concert series! Each month (and more often than that during the summer) we'll
be bringing you the best in live eclectic music by some of America's best musicians.
Marsh Music will feature folk, blues, bluegrass, Celtic, traditional, and some
styles of music that just defy description. The musicians bring you their own
original music played on guitar, keyboards, percussion, banjo, harp, and a few
instruments that don't have names. And their stories between songs will give you
insight into musicians' lives and leave you laughing hysterically. If you like
what you hear, the musicians will have their albums available at the show for
you to purchase. Child care is available for younger listeners who can't sit through
the show. Refreshments will be available. Each show is two 45-minute sets, with
intermission. All shows begin at 8pm. Tickets are available in advance at the
Wetlands Institute, or at the door. Members: $8, nonmembers: $10; children under
12 take $5 off. |
